Element Fusion Overview
Update 9 introduced the elemental fusion system, allowing players to combine two owned elements into hybrid ability kits. Fusions are distinct from corrupted variants—fusion creates new ability combinations while corruption doubles damage on existing kits.
Each element supports up to ten fusion recipes up to Legendary rarity. Mythic elements participate in fusion differently and require higher material investment. Experiment after mastering your primary DPS element.
How Fusion Works
Fusion requires owning both base elements and meeting mastery thresholds on each. The fusion interface combines ability slots from parent elements into a hybrid loadout you can toggle alongside your standard kit.
Not every element pair produces a fusion. The game restricts valid combinations by rarity tier—fusing two Rare elements yields a different result than fusing Rare with Epic. Check the fusion menu in-game for your current eligible recipes.

Fusion vs Other Upgrade Paths
Awakening swaps abilities on a single element through raid progression. Corruption doubles damage on a rolled variant. Fusion merges two elements into hybrid kits—three independent power systems that stack strategically.
Most players prioritize one Mythic mastery path first, then explore fusion between their primary and a type-advantage backup element. Fusing Light with Lightning creates popular hybrid builds for speed-clear content.

Fusion Crafting Materials
Some fusion recipes and fusion-tier gear like Fusion Blades require rare orb materials from specific dungeons. The Handy Gorilla crafting NPC accepts Galaxy Orbs and other Mythic-tier components for the strongest fusion equipment.
Farm materials during double-loot events and save orbs from elements you will not master. Fusion Blade crafting is a long-term goal—budget weeks of dungeon farming before attempting.
